My Cousin is Coming for the weekend

Hello Guys,
I am so excited my cousin is coming to visit for the weekend while my Uncle Aaron (Mommies brother) goes out of town. His name is Mako and he looks like a black lab mix. Were not sure what all is in Mr. Mako, but mommie says were gonna test his DNA...whatever that means. When he comes over we get super crazy and can't stop running around the house! Mommie and Uncle Aaron have to separate us sometimes to give us a break! I'm so excited he gets to spend all weekend with me! Mommie promised to take both of us to the dog beach park!

Mommie made me get a bath after the beach park on Sunday! I use Mr. Ceasers raspberry shampoo!

I did not want to participate in the bath! Mommie leave me alone!!! I did have fun at the dog park though! I meet a Mastiff that looks exactly like our bloggy friend MANGO! I really liked following him around, Daddie said I had never seen a dog that big!!! Can't wait to share all the fun Mako and I are gonna have this weekend!

Pugsitter

Hello All!
This weekend I had a pugsitter while mommie and daddie went to a wedding in Melbourne. Mommie brought back a few pics for all you humans who might be interested in seeing the wedding dress and cake because apparently that's the only important things in weddings. It was reported back to mommie and daddie that I stayed by the door for a whole hour and a half after they left and then proceeded to bark at the pugsitter for the another hour. One might think that I had actually missed my parentals, but I just wanted to make sure they were really gone so I could cause a little trouble. Then of course I had to test how much I could push around my pugsitter, and well that's why I barked at him for a full hour. Test complete the house was mine for the whole weekend!

I had the whole house to myself so I started running around like crazy. I wouldn't let the pugsitter put my harness on! BOL he couldn't figure it out anyway! I would bark and wake up the pugsitter at all hours. He turned out to be okay so I snuggled with him at night, so he wouldn't be scared in our house. When mommie and daddie got home my parentals were debriefed on my antics, but they were too happy to see me to really care. Must be my charming little innocent mug! Isn't it fun when your parents go out of town!!! I had a blast! I sure did wear myself out, I now need a nap!

Hello Puggies and Doggies!

We sure haven't been updating like we wanted to. There have been so many things going on and new changes since our last post. I turned 2 at the end of July....see my lovely pup cake from Frostings Etc. in Tampa. They make the best human and dog cupcakes ever. Mommies favorite is the champagne pear...we need to get a pick of that one! Heaven in your mouth!

I got this one all over the floor!

Mommie got a new camera, so she should be taking better pictures BOL! She did take a beginners photo class at the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts in Tampa. She entered one of her pieces in the Student Showcase and it got picked to be in the museum for awhile...she didn't win anything, but was super excited to even be chosen! Here is the pic below.

Mommie is in love with her Kitchen Aid Mixer, Daddie got it for her last Christmas!

Mommie and I have become obsessed with ETSY!!! It is a great site to buy and sell homemade crafts and art. We have been thinking for a long time about opening a store and well we finally did! We opened in August and it has been taking most of our time trying to figure all the ins and outs. We are super excited to report we have even made some sales our first month! Mommie and I are working on putting up a widget so you can see what we have. Our name is Hug A Pug Studios....named of course after mommies love of pugs!!! We sell custom dog and cat tags. We try to keep them funny and unique. If you like check out our shop Hug A Pug Studios. It is amazing to see what all there is on etsy and hopefully starting soon we will feature other shops and items from etsy. Were thinking maybe do some features of favorites, treasuries, and new shops on etsy. Mommie and I are big shoppers, you should see my toy bin. **Note to self take picture of overflowing toy bin for blog** We aren't kidding. Mommie says I need to donate some to charity because I have too many. I said there is no such thing as too many!!!!

In other news we are sad to report Daddie did not pass the bar back in February, but that's okay because we hear most people don't pass the first time. He has already taken the bar again and were waiting to hear back in late September. Were keeping our paws crossed! We love you daddie!

Well Puggies I think we have talked your ears off long enough for today so were excited to be blogging again. Hope to hear how all you other puggies, doggies and kitties are doing and can't wait to catch up!

Dog Beach Park

Hello Puggies!
Momma took me to the Doggie Beach Park today so I would stop bugging Daddie and his study partner to play with me...They only have 3 more days till they take the big BAR test and mommie said I needed to be pooped so i wouldn't annoy them. I was so excited because it hasn't been warm enough to go to the beach park! I had so much fun running around I wasn't even ready to go when momma decided it was time to leave she had to hook me up and drag me out!

I made some friends with some other small doggies. This little beagle puppy was his first time at the doggie park.

I punched him in the face....mommie was none to happy about that.

In other news on Saturday mommie volunteered with the Pug Rescue of Florida www.pugrescueofflorida.org at the 13th Annual Pug Parade in Sarasota Florida. I was sad because mommie couldn't take me because she said the puggies in rescue needed to have all the attention on them and that I would just take all of it away because of the little attention hog that I am. I went last year and had a blast, but thats okay because mommie says next year when daddie can go I can come too! Mommie and her friend Nicki even made the Sarasota Herald Tribune!!! That fat little pug she has in her arms is Woody and he is looking for a new home! Mommie said the rescue did really well since it was an all puggie event...lots of people were looking for puggies...they even made lots of dollars with the pug kissing booth! She wish she had more pictures to show you from the pug costume contest...but she had her arms full of puggies all day! If we can find some on the internet in the next few days we will post them...She said she saw a pug sushi table...where the pugs were dressed as sushi rolls....BOL!!! Mommie get me the pics!!!

Mango Minster 2010 Competition

So I decided to join Mango's Competition in the Non-Sporting/Bad Sport Group...Mommie said I had lots of bad things to report to our group Judge Ike. I have been thinking about a couple of things she may have meant about this category....Well I could start by saying all paper left in my reach is just asking to be destroyed and I think I provide a valuable service that most companies would charge for. But I am lazy I do like to have my cake and eat it too. I will let my parents know if I'm not satisfied by barking and whining If I don't think they are feeding me enough. Which happens mostly when I see them eating better food then me and of course I have to have a pug taste, which means I am right in your face until you either drop something or give in to my charming pug eyes.Another bad dog quality is my desire to steal from people, dogs, other pugs probably even children if given the chance. I'm not sure why, but even if someone has exactly what I have I think theirs is better and then I need theirs too. I'm a bit of a toy hog I have been know to steal toys from my brother from another mother Jake the Standard Poodle. But really doesn't that just make me a little ham?
I have stold many food items from peoples hands including a drunk girls pizza crust...I know shameful :( I have no regrets about stealing 5 year Gouda cheese!I often don't come when I'm called because well being a pug is just too much fun and I like to run alot in the park...I get very dirty, sandy, and just plain muddy. My Daddie likes to act like he doesn't know me at the park. Look at the disgust and disappointment in his face!This is probably one of the worst, but totally deserved. To get revenge on Daddie for ignoring me at the park I strategically position myself while he sleeps for a P.S.B (Pug Stink Bomb). Okay mommie maybe you were right. I do belong in the Bad Sport Category! I have too much fun being a devious pug!

I have been M.I.A for way to long. Somehow the parentals get supper busy during the Howlidays and my little bloggie gets put aside, but we are BACK!!! Whoo hoo 2010 and January is almost over! I know you missed my cute little puggie face!

Mommie and Daddie and I's Christmas picture! I had a lovely Orange and Blue scarf! Go Gators! I know what your thinking...it doesn't get cold enough for scarfs in Florida, but we had two weeks of very freezing weather...talk about not wanting to go outside for the bathroom!!! Luckily we are back in the 70's wheww this pug can't handle the cold!

Daddie Graduwated from Law School and now is hard at work studying for the Bar...I just don't understand why he has to study for drinks?!?! But I keep him nice and cozy while he is working...making sure to eat a few index cards just to keep him on his toes!

Life is tough when your a pug and studying for Bars is awfully boring so I prefer to curl up and take a little snooze.Mommie and I have lots of fun stuff coming up...especially pug related! Puggies were did November go? I haven't had any bloggy posts! Mommie and I are busy getting ready to go to Pensacola for Thanksgiving! We both are excited to see my Grammie and Grampie. They give me so much food and belly rubs!!! Mommie has decided since it will be an 8 hour car drive and it's just us in the truck shes going to buy an Audio Book for the road, because it is awfully boring. I get stuck in my crate except for potty breaks :( we were thinking about starting the Harry Potter Series...the first book is suppose to be 8 hours which is perfect for our trip!

Recently we received our very first bloggy award from our friend Amanda and her pug Oisin all the way in Ireland...mommie says its very green over there...sounds like lots of places for me to mark on. Thanks Amanda for the award we are sorry it took so long for us to put it up.

In other news yesterday mommie got a call at work from Daddie and I. Daddie somehow managed to lock us outside of the house while we were taking a potty break! Mommie had to leave work to come let us back in! Daddie at least had a robe to cover himself with, I only had my birthday suit! What are the neighbors going to think! Mommie of course captured the moment.Let us back in ! Mommie and Daddie bought a new bedspread for my King bed of course. The King Pug now looks like a real Royal! Don't you think?

Mommy had a birthday party/Halloween Party for Daddy and lots of our friends came! Mom even made a pumpkin ice box...I ate pumpkin she carved out!

This is mommies attempt at a pug pumpkin...I thought it was pretty sweet!

Hello Puggies,
It is been a super busy two weeks. Mommie and I have been planning for Daddies Birthday/Halloween party. It was yesterday, and was so much fun. Mommie and I made tons of food..I helped eat it...we carved pumpkins, I ate pumpkin for the first time and loved it! Mommie tried a white wine sangria made of apples and grapes. She was worried it might not work, but it was a hit...there was none left! Mommie has more pics to show...she is especially proud of her pug pumpkin carving. She has wanted to try it for sometime, but didn't think that it would be recognizable, however it turned out great! Mommy wanted to have matching costumes with me, but the pirate costume she had ordered turned out to be too small, so I just wore the hat...I didn't like it and took it off and ripped off the feather. I will destroy the costumes I hate aka all of them. However mommie is no dummy she had a back up costume dun dun dunnn....it was a taco costume....she loves Mexican food and saw the taco costume and would not leave the store without it...More pics to come from the party!

Mommie and I are pooped! Daddy caught mommie and I napping on the couch today. We have been soo busy we haven't had time to blog. This weekend mommie and I headed out to my favorite place to run around and meet new buddies...the dog beach!!!

I had so much fun sniffing butts, running and playing in the surf!!! Here is a video of me just goofing off and stealing water from other doggies!

Then this collie started to get a little to rough for my taste, so I told him to stick it were the sun don't shine! Us puggies may be small, but we stand our ground. Nobody messes with this short stack! Mommie told me to be nice...

Pug Likes Expensive Cheese

Labor Day Weekend for me was a surprise trip up to Pensacola were mommie is from! I got to see my Grampie and Gramie and also got to meet for the first time my Great Grandpawrents!!! Needless to say they loved me, check out my photo!

I took some pics by their flowers! They had so many to sniff and pee on, their garden was so much fun!

My grandpie and grammie gave me good food too. I gots porkchops and strawberries. They love to spoil me when mommie isn't looking! They think I am a starving pug, BOL I do put on a good show! Today Mommie and Daddie got some nice cheese, they love to try new stuff! I get so excited because I am a pug cheese taster. I have to approve it, mommie even knows the only way I take my flea pill is to mush it in a big ball of soft Italian cheese otherwise I won't take it. Mommie likes to say I am a pug with expensive taste, she says I get it from her. Today it was aged 5 year Gouda and I must say two paws up!

The Wooden Door is a local Irish pub with delicious food that mommie and daddie and I frequent. We always have a good time when we go. This is me hanging out with my daddie, I think his crackberry might have gotten glued to his head! Things started out good, I enjoyed food and drink a plenty. I enjoyed mommies old college friends lap. Then that's where it starts going down hill.

My mommie disgustingly laughed and said, "No, but he thinks he is." The lady said I walked/pranced like a show ring pug. I of course said, "Woman, I walk the walk and I talk the talk."Pug tail snap! Uncle Jake comes for a visit

Pug Goes to PetCo

Hey Puggies,
I went to PetCo yesterday because my Puppia harness broke. This is my second Puppia harness to break in 4 months and Daddy said that was it. He told mommy he refused to pay $30 dollars for a harness from the doggie boutique, so to Mommies dismay we gots me a new harness.

This is my new harness in black, mommie preffers my Puppia below.

I got tired at PetCo so I took a break on the nice fleece snuggies.

Mommy said today when we went to the vet I'm no longer a puppy so now I get big boys food. I am now on K-9 Adult Innova and I lurvs it!

Pug Cleans

Today puggies I helped mommie clean daddies old apartment. Daddy recently bought a new house that I get my very own back yard in!!! This pug is moving on up. Daddy went fishing this weekend and offered to pay mommie to clean is old apartment. Of course mommie and I said yes, mommie promised me a new collar if I helped! Well Daddy said the apartment was not that bad, but ohh was he wrong...the place was disgusting!!! Mommie spent three hours cleaning and I helped chew those pesky paper towel rolls. By the time we were done I was pooped. We came home to the new house and spent the afternoon on our new patio furniture we got for the front porch relaxing and taking in the new digs. I made sure to bark at all the passing dogs and their owners to tell them a new pooch is in town!

Ohh puggies,

I don't even know where to start. The last couple of months have been really tough. First mommie and my grandpa were going on a trip to Russia, yes I said Russia. Well mommie told me she would only be gone 4 days, it would be a quick trip. It turned into a nightmare, mommie didn't come home for a month!!! Grandpa had a stroke coming off the plane in Russia and they got stuck there for two weeks before they could come back to America. I missed mommie so bad and was so scared for grandpa. When the got back to America they stayed in Atlanta to see doctors for a few weeks. I'm very happy and relieved to say grandpa is doing much better, he is so lucky! Here is picture of us together when he came to visit me.

I get lots of massages from grandpa.

I also turned to one last week and I gots my own puppy cake! Mommy invited my friend Ming for a Pawty!

Puggies I also have good news for mommie she is temping at a job currently and will find out either tomorrow or next week if she gets it. Keep you paws crossed!

I hope to blog more puggies and since life is settling a little more for us. Thank goodness we have had too much excitement lately.

Pug Goes to the Park

Hello Puggies
I am totally pooped today. Mommie and I went to a new park yesterday and I am exhausted. I played with some big doggies, was intimidated by some huge German Shepards and dug holes with a rat terrier. There was a puddle I kept trying to lay down in to get kewl, but mommie kept yelling at me "NO", no no no is her favorite word I think. Afterwards we started to take a walk through the park, after 30 feet I decided I had enough of this exercise business and laid down. Mommie then picked me up and carried me like a baby all the way back to the car. I have this woman wrapped around my paw.
I am excited this weekend is a pug meetup, I've only been once before, but it is crazy so many pugs. I will make mommie take lots of pictures.

Hello Puggeies!

I recently got sprung from the doggie hotel, where mommy and daddy dropped me off along with Uncle Jake while they jetted off to Colorado for a ski trip. They forgot a crucial little package with them a.k.a. me! They even saw a big handicap helper lab dog in the plane, I totally could have fit under the seat in front of them. Anywhos when they came back I had made tons of friends and a couple of girlfriends during puppy daycare. Uncle Jake didn't have as much fun as I did. I gained weight and he lost five pounds! Here is a pic of mommy and daddy withouts me :(

In other recent news I recently participated in a Pug Parade in Sarasota. I entered a contest with a costume mommy made for me. I went as a hunting pug, I didn't win anything but I did get my picture taken and I was in a newspaper. Mommy and Daddy made friends with another couple who had a lovely pug and pit. They are sending us the picture in the paper so we can see it. I will have to upload more pics of costume when mommy decides to upload my pics.

I do have however some nice pictures taken by my Daddies friend. They are professionally done!

Pug is a Baby

Hi puggies,

Mommie is been kind of sad latley, she lost her job to the economies, but I am a super happy pug because now she spends all day with me! I try to cheer her up with my puggie kisses! Last night

I fell asleep on mommy becuase she was in my spot....

....recently I have been helping mommie with her jewelry business she is trying to start. I said I would be top model, so far mommie has said no, but I'm sure she will come to her senses and let me model her jewels.

I also just got switched over to Innova dog food, and I loves it much better than my puppy chow. She knew I would like Innova because I often steal it from my Uncle Jake. Since my poodle uncle doesn't eat his whole bowl when given (crazy if you ask me) I take it upon myself to finish it. Thats what good nephews are for!

Ohh and check out my new Gator hoodie, I loves the Gators!!!

Pug Goes to Gasparillia

Hey Puggers,
It's been awhile since I've had a post, but I have been a very busy pug. For Christmas I made my way to my mommies home town and meet my grandparents for the first time. Mommy was suprised they let me come home with her. They aren't exactly doggie people, whatever that means. Things turned out great, they loved me! Really though who wouldn't? I was given peoples food when mommy wasn't looking, hehe I guess non doggie people don't know what puggies get to eat. I had chicken and strawberries and napped and snored with my grandpa and grandma. Now they call mommie wanting to see me on her video camera and keep bugging her about when I will come to visit again. Grandmie and Grampie I want to come back really soon, I love you and the food you feed me, but mommie is a busy worker and hasn't had time for a visit. I promise we will come soon! Well puggies, I got to go to Gasparillia this year. For those of you not from around here, it is a huge pirate parade (like a mini mardi gras). I caught lots of beads and attention from the crowd....

Pug Graduates

Ohh Boy Puggies I graduated from puppy class today!!! I got my certificate and a bandanna from Pet Co. I also got lots of goodies from my teacher, I like to show her how good I can sit because she gives me cookies!!! So now I can sit, stay, lie down, leave it, and I walk much better on my leash. Puppy school was so fun I will miss my two friends Nokie and Scout :(

Teacher also gave my my new favorite toy....tennis ball! I played with it so much when I got home I lost it and I asked mommie to help me find it. Pug goes to Pugsgiving

Ohh boy Puggies!
Its been too long and I've had tons of adventures to start telling you about. I did make it to pugsgiving a couple of weeks ago and it was amazing!!! I meet so many other pugs and was ogled by everyone there! My mommy and daddy couldn't get through the crowd without ohhs and ahhs how cute is he!!! People wanted my picture I was even on captured on video by the reporter man! I am a star indeed! Well I was getting so much attention I forget about my costume contest appearance, its okay I have to give some face time to my subjects so it was okay. Mommy was a little disappointed she didn't win any raffles :( and so was I, I need more treats around this joint. I did participate in the relay race, but I was so distracted by the other huge pugs that I choose to spice things up a little and distract other puggies in the race. Hello Puggies,
Dutch here, destroying my leather football mommie got me in honor of the gators going strong this football season. She tells me when I get a little bigger, I will get the bestest Gator jersey a pug could ask for. I hope it doesn't make me look stupid! Well Mommie, Daddie and I will not be attending UF vs. SC this weekend instead we are doing something way kewler! WE ARE ALL GOING TO PUGSGIVING!!! I'm sooo excited to meet puggies and play with them. I haven't gotten to play with a puggie since leaving my puggie brothers and sister. Pugsgiving is being put on by the Pug Rescue of Florida. We are going to help support other puggies in need! I had no idea there were puggies in need of homes, who wouldn't want a snuggly pug to keep you company? Maybe I can find a brother or sister to bring home and play with me. I know mommie and daddie won't be on the same page with me right now, so I might have to be crafty and smuggle a puggie in on the car ride back. There will be lots of activities and raffles. Mommie says I may have to enter in the costume contest with my superPug outfit.
I also recently started attending puppy school, I have meet two other puppies, one golden retriever, and a cockapoo. The retriever is lots of fun, but the cockapoo is kind of shy. I try to jump all over him and well he does not appreciate me! Come on, who couldn't love this face?

Well gots to go, I'm spending the night at Daddies place, I must protect him from the buggie monsters!Later Puggies!!!

Hey Puggies!
Tonight was my first puppy class at Petco. I meet a pretty little golden retriever puppy. Apparently we weren't suppose to be there at the first class, but mommie didn't know, oops! I got a new Christmas reindeer stuffy (I think I will call him Rudolf), treats, and a bone thanks to my teachers recommendations. YUMMY stuff, I can't wait to go back. The teacher used me to demonstrate the look command, I mastered it already, give me something hard already puhlease!

Ohh Boy What a Weekend!

Hey Puggies!
I had a big weekend. My parents decided to leave me with their friend this weekend, while they had pawty up in Jacksonville to watch the Florida Georgia game. So I had a sleep over and had a good time with out them at DT's house! I enjoyed the kiddies in her neighborhood. But I have to catch everyone up on the weekend before! Mommy took me with her to the pumpkin patch for the Humane Society. Here I am in the car ride over. I was so popular the whole day. Kids and adults kept stopping mommie to fawn over me and ask questions about me. I even kissed a baby in his buggie!
Mommie had lunch at Nature's Table, I tried to share with her, but that meanie told me NO!
After lunch we headed to my new favorite store, Downtown Dogs! I proceeded to pull everything off the shelves. Mommie was horrified when I grabed a large stuffy pheasant toy and continued to destroy it on the floor. Mommie just said well I guess I will be buying that. Next time I will grab as much as I can off the shelves before I leave! Mommy also could not resist and bought me my very first costume. I've never worn clothes before and didn't mind it too much. After all I left the store in my new superman costume and got lots of attention on the streets. Super Pug!!!

Everyone at the pumpkin patch was taking photos with their kids, mommie of course had to give it a try with me. I was not being too cooperative.
Ahh that's a little bit better.Mommie and her roomies posing by the fountain, with their sexy stud!

Mommie even got herself a costume, she said something about us being matching pirates in February, but I have no idea what that crazy woman is talking about.All in all I had a huge day, got a stuffy toy bigger than me, found lots of new people to have fawn over me, and gots a costume for hallows weenie. I was soo pooped I feel asleep in the car. Well puggies I think I am going to call it a night!

Pug goes to the VET

Hello Puggies, last Friday mommy an daddy took me to see the VET. Here I am before the nice Dr. Lady came in to see me.

Everything was going fine till the vet techs took me away to trim my nails. Mommy said she could here me squealing like a pig from the next room. Then the nice Dr. Lady gave me treats which I gobbled up instantly, but then that sneaky woman gave me two shots in my back and my butt before I knew what had happened. I was in mommies arms before I started crying, those little suckers stung! And you know what I blame mommie, because It didn't hurt until she held me. Maybe I will peez on her bed later.

I saw my BIG Brudder!

Hey peoples I got to see my big brudder from another mother this Saturday. He is Daddy's parents standard poodle and his name is Jake. Mommy and Daddy were very worried about us being together. Apparently Jake is known for being a KILLER....what? No, he was scared of little ole me the first time we meet! Jake has a track record for killing little things that move: squirrels, birds, even while on the leash in trendy areas about town. Not your typical prissy poodle.

Humm poodles don't seem menacing at all with there puffy head and tail, Jake likes to watch and follow me around when I come to visit at his house, that's because I'm so awesome! Mommy and Daddy were so relieved that he did not mistake me for a squirrel or rat. Silly Mommy and Daddy I am not afraid of anything. Jake tried to get me to play chase with him, but instead I enjoyed some of Jake's lovely toys while my parents watched the Gators pound LSU. Here I am using mommy as a couch.
